McKenzie entered their matchup against Pleasant Home on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The McKenzie Tigers fell just short of the Pleasant Home Eagles by a score of 72-70. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

McKenzie lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jay Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Quay Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists.

Pleasant Home got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dillan Purifoy out in front who went 8 of 20 on his way to 25 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Bryan, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, McKenzie fell to 5-1. As for Pleasant Home, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

McKenzie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-26 loss against Andalusia on the 19th. As for Pleasant Home, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-61 defeat against Straughn on the 19th.
