Volleyball Recap: Plano East's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Plano typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Plano East proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Plano East never let Plano on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 27-25.

Plano East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Tucker, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Tucker has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Huynh, who had 13 digs and four assists.

Plano's loss came despite strong showings from Savannah Osborn and Madeline Garcia. Osborn had 17 assists and seven digs, while Garcia had 15 digs and seven kills. Osborn has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 14 times she's played. Maren McCardel was another key player, getting 15 assists and five digs.

Plano East's victory bumped their record up to 27-10. As for Plano, their loss ended a nine-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 26-10.

Plano East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against McKinney on the 24th. As for Plano, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rock Hill on the 24th.
