Baseball Recap: Nazareth Area Extends Winning Streak to Three

Nazareth Area waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Delaware Valley Warriors 9-1. The Blue Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Isaiah Sack looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Evan Shak was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Landon Glovas, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Nazareth Area now has a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nazareth Area will welcome Easton Area at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Eagles 2.4, the Rovers 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Delaware Valley, they will be playing at home against Scranton Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
