Baseball Recap: Kentridge's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Kentridge was the 5-2 winner over Kentwood when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Kentridge fell 9-6 to Kentwood on Thursday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ethan Sugimoto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Lueck, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Kentridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Kentwood, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kentridge will square off against Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kentwood, they will take on Glacier Peak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kentwood is facing Glacier Peak at the right time seeing as Glacier Peak is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
