Football Recap: Lipscomb Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lipscomb Academy can now relate to. They took a 35-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions on Friday. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

Among those leading the charge was Bradshaw Klym, who rushed for 78 yards and two TDs. Those 78 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Lipscomb Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Lipscomb Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Ensworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
