Northview extended their postseason success on Friday against Cascade. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cadets 4-3. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 win the Cadets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Peyton Esker looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Lewis, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played.

Northview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-9.

Northview has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Owen Valley on the 1st. Cascade does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
