Basketball Recap: Othello Comes Up Short

Othello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Valley Red Devils. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since January 30, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Othello's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for East Valley, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.

Looking ahead, Othello and Toppenish will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for East Valley, they and Ellensburg will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
