Medina is a perfect 10-0 against Barker since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs will square off against the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Medina is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Medina is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Wellsville on Saturday. They fell 4-1 to the Lions. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lucas Grimes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Barker). They walked away with a 13-8 victory over Perry on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
Ireland Brady made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Sandolfini, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Prynn, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
Having lost for the first time this season, Medina fell to 13-1. As for Barker, their record is now 5-9.
Barker's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Medina has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. It's a different story for Barker, though, as they've only averaged .289. Will they be able to contain Medina's hitters?
Everything went Medina's way against Barker in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Medina made off with a 16-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
