Football Game Preview: Nordonia Knights vs. Twinsburg Tigers

The Nordonia Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Twinsburg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Nordonia came up short against North Royalton and fell 48-39. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Bears are ranked 221st).

Despite the loss, Nordonia got top-tier performance from Steven Fakult, who threw for 529 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Dominick Jackson was Fakult's top target, picking up 158 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Twinsburg fell victim to Hudson and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Explorers. The Tigers have struggled against the Explorers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Having lost for the first time this season, Nordonia fell to 5-1. As for Twinsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything went Nordonia's way against Twinsburg in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Nordonia made off with a 40-14 victory. In that game, the Knights amassed a halftime lead of 40-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
