Football Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry lost against Millwood back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maroons were beaten by the Falcons 44-14. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Falcons are ranked 86th).

When it comes to explaining why Perry lost, don't look at Andrew Kukuk. Despite the final result, he rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Kukuk is now averaging an impressive 106.1 rushing yards per game.

Perry's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Millwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Perry nor Millwood have any future games scheduled.
