With a playoff win on the line, Bellevue rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lakes Lancers 49-18. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Lakes saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jadis Lefono rushed for 74 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 194 yards and one touchdown.

Bellevue's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.4 points over those games. As for Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.

Coming up, Bellevue will square off against O'Dea at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Irish's defense has only allowed 10.7 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them. Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
