It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wilmington can now relate to. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs on Friday. On the bright side, the 39- point performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring contest to date.

Wilmington's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Old Rochester Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Wilmington and Old Rochester Regional will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Wildcats see the field they'll take on Tewksbury Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Old Rochester Regional, their break will end when they face Apponequet Regional at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
