Football Recap: Firestone Falcons vs. Copley Indians
After flying high against Cuyahoga Falls last Friday, Firestone came back down to earth. The Firestone Falcons took a hard 33-14 fall against the Copley Indians on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Despite the loss, Firestone still got an impressive performance from Daniel Peterson, who rushed for 114 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.
Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Copley, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Firestone's road trip will continue as they head out to face Norton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Copley, they will head out to square off against Twinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
