Baseball Game Preview: Walled Lake Central Vikings vs. South Lyon Lions

Walled Lake Central hasn't had much luck against South Lyon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Walled Lake Central came up short against Franklin and fell 10-5. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seven must be South Lyon's lucky number: they beat Zeeland East with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Lions' pitchers stepped up to hand the Chix a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

South Lyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Walled Lake Central, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1.
