It was fun while it lasted, but New Dorp's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Tuesday. The contest between them and the St. John-Vianney Lancers didn't end well, with the New Dorp Central Cougars falling 63-49. The loss was the Central Cougars' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, New Dorp fell to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Dorp will square off against Eagle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. John-Vianney, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Matawan Regional at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
