Baseball Game Preview: Perry Ramblers vs. Byron Eagles

The Perry Ramblers and the Byron Eagles, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Perry will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Leslie, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Ramblers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Blackhawks a 6-0 shutout two weeks ago.

Perry saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olyan McFarland, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave McFarland a new career-high. Nolan Krupp was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Byron took care of business in their home opener two weeks ago. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over Houghton Lake.

Perry now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Byron, their record now sits at 1-0.

Perry came up short against Byron in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, falling 11-8. Can the Ramblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
