Baseball Game Preview: Whitko Wildcats vs. Rochester Zebras

The Whitko Wildcats will square off against the Rochester Zebras at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Whitko lost 15-2 to South Adams on Saturday.

Whitko saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Jackson-Powers, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Rochester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against North Central, falling 16-6.

Whitko's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Rochester, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Whitko has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Rochester struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
