Volleyball Preview: Sullivan Eagles vs. Union Wildcats

Sullivan has been away from home for three games now, but on Thursday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Union Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Tuesday, everything went Sullivan's way against Owensville as Sullivan made off with a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-6, 25-12.

Sullivan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Union came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 12 straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bearcats 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-21.

Union relied on the efforts of Mikah Williford, who had 24 digs, and Kordylia Durham, who had nine digs and two aces. Williford is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

The victory got Sullivan back to even at 13-13-1. As for Union, they pushed their record up to 25-3-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
