The Canal Winchester Indians will head out to challenge the Groveport-Madison Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Canal Winchester barely beat Lancaster the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians' defense stepped up to hand the Golden Gales a 42-0 shutout on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on four straight.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jamari Snow and Toreion Brooks. Snow rushed for 103 yards and one TD while Brooks rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards Brooks has posted since back in September of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Groveport-Madison). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Logan 44-13. The Cruisers pushed the score to 44-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chieftains cut but never quite recovered from.
Canal Winchester's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Groveport-Madison, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Canal Winchester couldn't quite finish off Groveport-Madison when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 27-25. Thankfully for the Indians, Raishad King (who rushed for 110 yards and a pair of scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
