Karmello Austin Game Report: vs Thousand Oaks

For the first time in his career, Karmello Austin scored a receiving touchdown on Friday. He picked up 55 receiving yards and one touchdown, but sadly Rio Mesa still had to take a 21-13 loss at the hands of Thousand Oaks. We think that's the best game he's posted since August 29th, when he made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Looking ahead, Austin and Rio Mesa will square off against Calabasas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 223 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
