Basketball Recap: Liberty Tech Magnet Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Liberty Tech Magnet had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson Christian Eagles.

Co Vargason had an outrageously good game for Jackson Christian as he went 8-for-18 on his way to 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Vargason has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Rose Jr., who scored 12 points and five boards.

Looking ahead, Liberty Tech Magnet will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jackson Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
