Baseball Recap: Rosemont Comes Up Short

Rosemont lost a heartbreaker to Liberty Ranch when they met back in April of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

Rosemont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Bell, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Michael Miles also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Rosemont dropped their record down to 7-10-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Liberty Ranch, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-4-1.

Looking ahead, Rosemont will head out to take on Union Mine at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Diamondbacks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberty Ranch, they will be playing at home against Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
