Soccer Recap: Shelby Has No Trouble Against West Lincoln

After failing to score in their last match, Shelby made sure to put some goals up on the board against West Lincoln on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Rebels. This was a revenge game for Shelby: when they faced off against West Lincoln back in September, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Shelby hit West Lincoln with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eli Morgan (2), Joel Cook (2), and William Cotton.

The victory got Shelby back to even at 8-8-3. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Shelby has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against East Gaston on the 9th. As for West Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 defeat against Highland Tech on the 8th.
