Basketball Recap: Miami Beach Takes a Loss

Miami Beach lost against Coral Reef back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Miami Beach Hi-Tides had to suffer through a 73-34 loss at the hands of the Coral Reef Barracudas. The Hi-Tides were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.

Coral Reef was led to victory by Corey Gellineau and Ashton Williams. Gellineau posted 12 points, while Williams had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Charlot, who earned eight points.

Miami Beach's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Coral Reef, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Miami Beach will head out on the road to face off against Mater Lakes Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mater Lakes Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Miami Beach likes a good challenge. As for Coral Reef, they will square off against Reagan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Reef is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.
