Football Recap: Klein Collins Tigers vs. Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes
Klein Collins and Duncanville squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Klein Collins had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Panthers and Pantherettes. The Tigers were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the 12 matchups prior), but the Panthers and Pantherettes' defense proved too tough.
Braydon Schoggin threw for 166 yards on 17 of 27 attempts. Adrian Jenkins was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards. On the ground, Tyce Hudson rushed for 33 yards and one score.
A big part of Duncanville's victory came down to the chemistry between Trenton Yancey and his top target Ayson Theus. Yancey rushed for 108 yards on only six carries while Theus rushed for 145 yards on only 11 carries. Theus' longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
