Mechanicsburg and Hershey are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hershey will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Mechanicsburg extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 32-17 win over Waynesboro. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Indians are ranked 310th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Hershey against Northern York on Friday as the squad secured a 42-14 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Mechanicsburg better keep an eye on Cameron Sweeney. He was instrumental in Hershey's win, throwing for 233 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also punching in two TDs on the ground. Those 233 passing yards gave Sweeney a new career-high.

Hershey didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sweeney and Bryan Maduena. Sweeney got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Mechanicsburg's record now sits at 7-1. As for Hershey, their record is now 6-2.

Mechanicsburg took their win against Hershey when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 42-21 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Sweeney, who rushed for 65 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also threw for 79 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes.
