Football Game Preview: Paxton Tigers vs. Medicine Valley Raiders

The Paxton Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Medicine Valley Raiders at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Paxton is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took a blow against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, falling 54-13. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Mustangs are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, Medicine Valley played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 70-33 loss at the hands of Wallace. The Raiders were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Paxton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Medicine Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Paxton against Medicine Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-20 win. In that contest, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 32-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
