Baseball Recap: Truman Takes a Loss

Truman has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.08 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Lee's Summit North Broncos, falling 14-7. The Patriots have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Connor Reinhardt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Nich Dawson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Truman's record now sits at 9-4. As for Lee's Summit North, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Coincidentally, Truman and Lee's Summit North will both be playing Oak Park the next time they take the field. The Patriots will head out to face the Northmen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Broncos will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
