Basketball Recap: Olympia Drops Season-High Score on Freedom

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Olympia walked away with it. They snuck past the Freedom Patriots with a 58-54 victory on Tuesday. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Olympia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Pazos, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists. Pazos has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 22 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sasha Do, who went 9 of 22 on her way to 24 points.

Pazos wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Olympia was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Olympia moved to 6-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Freedom, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Olympia will square off against Dr. Phillips on Thursday. One thing working in Dr. Phillips' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
