Basketball Game Preview: Terrell Tigers vs. Midlothian Heritage Jaguars

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Terrell Tigers duke it out with the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars at 12:30 p.m. on Friday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Terrell saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of North Garland by a score of 51-49. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubree Tate put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 15 points. Danyale Hubbard was another key player, putting up six points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Terrell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Midlothian Heritage was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 32-28 to Rock Hill.

Terrell will have to contain Ava Batty as she made an impact in Midlothian Heritage's last game. She had 13 points.

Midlothian Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Terrell, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
