Volleyball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola Comes Up Short

Philipsburg-Osceola lost against Hollidaysburg last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mountaineers fell 3-1 to the Golden Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-22.

Adi Jarrett paced Philipsburg-Osceola's offense, picking up 15 kills. Jarrett got some help from Maddie Anderson and her 28 assists. Brooke Bailey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Philipsburg-Osceola has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13-4 record this season. As for Hollidaysburg, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Philipsburg-Osceola will take on rival Tyrone at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hollidaysburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
