Basketball Recap: Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Bethel Assembly Christian Academy extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were beaten by Coastal Brigade 92-42. The Eagles lost against Coastal Brigade in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 43-38 score last time.

Despite the loss, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Peyton Liverman, who posted 23 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Evan Byrum, who scored 11 points.

As for Coastal Brigade, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2. That looming 92-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Leading Coastal Brigade to victory were Beau Brake and Cade Lewis. Brake dropped a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds, while Lewis dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists. The dominant performance also gave Lewis a new career-high in field goal percentage (63%). Luke Bledsoe was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 13 points and six assists.

Looking ahead, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy will square off against Victory Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy will need to watch out since Victory Christian has now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Coastal Brigade, they will take on Jacksonville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 4.
