Gabe Showen put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Saturday. He struck out two batters over one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.

Showen's strong effort led Washington over Berkeley Springs and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
