The Vipers had a successful week, as they won two total games to lead the league. Varela beat
South Dade 3-2 and
Coral Reef 8-1.
The Vipers' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 13 hits and four walks, both of which led the league.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to Pimentel, who turned in ten Ks for Varela. He's first in the league with 34 total strikeouts.

Killian to victory over
Southridge, 1-0, on Thursday. He pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out four, while giving up three hits.
Keith Stevens struck out eight in
Palmetto's 3-1 win over the Cougars on March 5. Over five innings of work, he gave up five hits and three runs.
