Volleyball Recap: Southampton Beats Franklin for Their Third Straight Win

Southampton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Franklin Broncos as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win two weeks ago.

Southampton's got stronger as the match went on, holding Franklin to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11, 25-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southampton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Savannah Bryant, who had 12 digs and four aces. Bryant has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paisley Benson, who had seven digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Southampton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since October 2nd.

Southampton's record is now 15-8. As for Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

As of now, neither Southampton nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
