Volleyball Recap: Macon County Comes Up Short

Macon County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Greenbrier Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-8, 17-25, 25-21.

Carleigh Rose paced Macon County's offense, picking up ten kills. Rose got some help from Lexi Patterson and her 21 assists. Rose was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Macon County's record is now 2-20. As for Greenbrier, the win snapped their losing streak at five matches and leaves them with a 7-15 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Macon County will face off against Trousdale County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenbrier, they will take on East Robertson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
