West Jefferson strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Northeastern Jets as they made off with a 9-1 win. The nine-run effort marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jenna Mannon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hailey McBrayer, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Kimberly Warnock was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

West Jefferson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

West Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Northeastern, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

West Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Jets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
