Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Chiles Timberwolves
Lincoln has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Chiles Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lincoln scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Maclay for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-36 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Lincoln has managed all season.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jamiya Brown and Lauren Guyer. Brown had a great game and dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, Guyer did her best for the losing side, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Chiles, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past Leon with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-31.
Faith Durden continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Durden has scored at least 25% of Chiles' points. Another player making a difference was Lainey Crisafulli, who scored six points.
Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Chiles, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Lincoln beat Chiles 46-39 when the teams last played last Friday. Will Lincoln repeat their success, or does Chiles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
