Volleyball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Takes a Loss

If Capistrano Valley Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Crean Lutheran last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trabuco Hills Mustangs on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Capistrano Valley Christian lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 11-25, 28-26, 26-24.

Trabuco Hills can attribute much of their success to Tanner Holliday, who had 23 digs.

Capistrano Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Capistrano Valley Christian has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against San Clemente on the 21st. As for Trabuco Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Newport Harbor on the 21st.
