Basketball Recap: Genesis Academy Comes Up Short

Genesis Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Sugar Hill Christian Academy Stallions and fell 80-42. The Genesis were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.

Sugar Hill Christian Academy was led to victory by Christopher Britt and Knox Britt. Christopher went 15-for-21 on his way to 36 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds, while Knox dropped a double-double with 26 points and 16 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Christopher has scored at least a third of the Stallions' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harvey Veugeler, who posted nine points.

Genesis Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sugar Hill Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genesis Academy will square off against Killian Hill Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sugar Hill Christian Academy, they will take on Varsity Opponent at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
