Football Game Preview: Prairie Grove Tigers vs. Heber Springs Panthers + Official Tickets

The Prairie Grove Tigers will square off against the Heber Springs Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Prairie Grove had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 48-point drubbing they dealt Lincoln on Friday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wolves 82-34. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Prairie Grove had a senior duo take command as Elijah Sugg rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries and Blake Coughran rushed for 183 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Coughran is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 5-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Prairie Grove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 558 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 181 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Heber Springs and Riverview had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-6 victory over the Raiders. With the Panthers ahead 47-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

The win got Prairie Grove back to even at 5-5. As for Heber Springs, the victory also got them back to even at 5-5.
