Central came into this matchup off a tough 56-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Sierra Chieftains by a score of 23-21 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 631st, while the Chieftains are ranked 67th).

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Sierra, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 23-19 win against Big Valley Christian on the 30th. As for Sierra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 29-26 victory against Priory on the 25th.
