Soccer Game Preview: Rio Rico vs. Walden Grove

Rio Rico is 1-9 against Walden Grove since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rio Rico Hawks will square off against the Walden Grove Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Walden Grove took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rio Rico, who comes in off a win.

Rio Rico's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Sahuaro as Rio Rico made off with a 5-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Walden Grove was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to Catalina Foothills. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Red Wolves couldn't quite close it out.

The win got Rio Rico back to even at 1-1. As for Walden Grove, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
