North Raleigh Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 63 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-63 bruising from High Point Christian Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Raleigh Christian Academy in their matchups with High Point Christian Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite their defeat, North Raleigh Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tristan Thompson, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Brennen Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Academic Magnet's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their 11th straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 51-35 to Hanahan.
North Raleigh Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Academic Magnet, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12.
