Softball Recap: Whittier RVT Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Whittier RVT entered their tilt with Greater Lowell Tech on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gryphons a 4-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Gryphons back in April, they had to take a 6-0 defeat.

Whittier RVT pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Greater Lowell Tech, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-5.

Coming up, Whittier RVT will face off against Northeast Metro RVT at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greater Lawrence Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
