Basketball Recap: Highland Wins Going Away Against Broughton

Highland won the last time they faced Broughton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hawks enjoyed a cozy 75-59 win over the Capitals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

When it comes to explaining why Broughton lost, don't look at Jordan Page. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Page's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of George Hatem, who posted 13 points and five boards.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Broughton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Highland will take on Friendship Tech Prep Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Broughton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blue Ridge at 8:30 p.m. on December 4.
