Volleyball Game Preview: River Ridge Hawks vs. Lakes Lancers

After both having extra time off, the River Ridge Hawks and the Lakes Lancers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

River Ridge took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Mount Tahoma.

Meanwhile, Lakes got the win against Gig Harbor on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Lakes walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-12.

Lakes has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. River Ridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12.

River Ridge might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Lakes when the teams last played back in September. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
