Football Recap: Demarco Moore's Menacing Defense Leads Beebe over Watson Chapel

Beebe had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 23-point drubbing they dealt Watson Chapel on Friday. The Badgers blew past the Wildcats 45-22. The Badgers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Curtis Goodrich continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 164 yards and one TD while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beebe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Beebe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Demarco Moore, Kameron Johnson, and Layne Clark picked up one apiece.

Beebe is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.2 points over those games. As for Watson Chapel, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Beebe will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Searcy at 7:00 p.m. As for Watson Chapel, they will head out to take on Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
