Football Game Preview: Cache Bulldogs vs. Douglass Trojans

The Cache Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Douglass Trojans at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. Cache has given up an average of 33.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cache will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Clinton, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Red Tornadoes 45-42. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of Elgin. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Cache's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Cache against Douglass in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 56-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
