CORE Butte won the last time they faced Burney and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lynx were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lynx.

CORE Butte never let Burney on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-12.

CORE Butte got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Allison Freimuth out in front who had 24 assists. Freimuth has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mara Gonzalez, who had nine digs.

CORE Butte was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Burney still got an impressive performance from Alexis Witzel, who had 42 digs and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Aimee Hampton, who had 19 digs and seven kills.

CORE Butte's record is now 15-6. As for Burney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
